Selective exams can indeed filter out many good students who may not perform well under the pressure of a timed exam or who may not excel in a specific subject area that is being tested. These exams may not always accurately reflect a student's true abilities, potential, or overall intelligence. As a result, some students who could have succeeded and contributed greatly may be overlooked or underestimated based solely on their performance in these exams. It is important for educational institutions to consider a more holistic approach to evaluating students' capabilities to ensure that all talented individuals have the opportunity to thrive. **

Selective exams can indeed filter out many good students who may not perform well under pressure or in a timed setting. These exams may not always accurately reflect a student's true abilities, as they may not be able to showcase their full potential in a high-stakes testing environment. Additionally, factors such as test anxiety or lack of access to resources for test preparation can also contribute to filtering out good students. Therefore, it is important to consider alternative methods of assessment that can provide a more holistic view of a student's capabilities. **
