Butterflies belong to the order Lepidoptera, which also includes moths. Within the order Lepidoptera, butterflies are classified under the suborder Rhopalocera. Further classifications include the superfamily Papilionoidea, which includes true butterflies, and the family Nymphalidae, which is one of the largest families of butterflies. Finally, butterflies are divided into various genera and species based on their physical characteristics and behaviors. **

No, butterflies cannot swim. They are insects with delicate wings and bodies that are not adapted for swimming. Instead, they rely on their ability to fly and their specialized proboscis for feeding on nectar. While some insects, such as water striders, are able to walk on water, butterflies are not equipped for swimming. **

Maggots cannot turn into butterflies. Maggots are the larval stage of flies, while butterflies undergo a complete metamorphosis from egg to larva (caterpillar) to pupa (chrysalis) to adult butterfly. Mosquitoes, on the other hand, do not go through a complete metamorphosis like butterflies, but they do have a larval stage before becoming adults. **

Butterflies do not actually nest like birds do. Instead, they lay their eggs on specific plants that will provide food for their caterpillars once they hatch. These plants are known as host plants and vary depending on the species of butterfly. The caterpillars will then feed on the host plant until they are ready to pupate and transform into butterflies. **

Butterflies do not have a sense of smell in the same way that humans do. Instead, they use their antennae to detect chemicals in the air, which helps them find food, mates, and suitable habitats. These chemicals are detected by sensory receptors on the antennae, allowing butterflies to navigate their environment and carry out essential behaviors. **

Butterflies do not get high in the same way humans or other animals can by consuming drugs or substances. However, butterflies can become intoxicated by feeding on fermented fruits or plants that contain toxins. This can affect their coordination and behavior, making them appear "drunk" or disoriented. Overall, butterflies do not intentionally seek out substances to alter their state of mind. **

Some shrubs that attract butterflies include butterfly bush (Buddleja), lilac (Syringa), potentilla, and spirea. These shrubs produce nectar-rich flowers that are attractive to butterflies. **

Butterflies are typically active during the day, especially on warm and sunny days. They are most commonly seen during the spring and summer months when flowers are in bloom and provide a food source for them. **
