Selective attention is the ability to focus on specific stimuli while ignoring others. This cognitive process allows individuals to concentrate on relevant information and filter out distractions. An easy way to explain its effects is through the example of listening to a conversation in a noisy room - selective attention enables us to tune out the background noise and focus on the speaker's voice. This demonstrates how our brain prioritizes certain information while disregarding others based on our goals and intentions. **

No, the After Effects effects and presets have not disappeared. They are still available in the Effects & Presets panel within After Effects. If you are unable to see them, you can try resetting the workspace or reinstalling the software to ensure they are properly loaded. Additionally, make sure to check that the effects and presets are not hidden or disabled in the preferences settings. **

Some of my favorite effects in After Effects are the Particle World effect for creating dynamic particle animations, the Optical Flares plugin for adding realistic lens flares to footage, and the 3D Camera Tracker for seamlessly integrating 3D elements into live-action footage. I also enjoy using the Time Remapping feature to create slow-motion or time-lapse effects, and the Motion Blur effect to add a sense of realism to animated movements. Overall, After Effects offers a wide range of powerful and versatile effects that allow for endless creativity and visual storytelling. **

After Effects only renders 3 seconds by default because it is designed to provide a quick preview of the animation or composition. Rendering the entire composition can be time-consuming and resource-intensive, so limiting the preview to 3 seconds allows users to quickly see how their work is coming along without having to wait for the entire composition to render. If users need to render the entire composition, they can adjust the work area and render settings to include the entire duration of the project. **
